Frequently Asked Questions

I’m currently a Free member. When I upgrade, will I get the answers to previous questions?
Yes! When you subscribe you'll be able to see all the questions you’ve previously answered. But now that you’re a Premium member (good call, amigo), you can check your work and see the rationale behind each answer.
I’m a first-year nursing student. Is the Challenge for me?
While the challenges we send generally rely on knowledge learned throughout several years of nursing school, you’ll still benefit by learning to recognize the patterns of NCLEX-style questions, as well as learning important concepts/material through our answers and rationales.
When should I start using the Daily NCLEX Challenge?
Generally we see the most success with students answering their challenges during the course of their last year of nursing school. The bite-sized study sessions compound over time and, before you know it, you’re walking into that exam feeling confident, capable, and prepared.
How long should I spend solving each challenge?
Each daily challenge can be solved in under five minutes. However, we suggest you tackle the challenges the same way you would approach a question on the exam. You want to be fast, so you have time to complete the other questions, but not so fast that you make mistakes or overlook important information. Be fast, but careful.
Can’t I just use one of those online question banks?
You sure can. However, putting together your own study plan using online question banks is both time consuming and difficult. We’ve done the work for you; we’ll only send you the most important, exam-relevant NCLEX challenges to help you prepare. What’s more, by studying a little each day instead of cramming, your brain is primed for better overall recall and long term retention (i.e, you’ll remember more on the exam.)
What topics are covered?
We cover the exact same topics that will appear on your NCLEX exam:
  • - Physiological adaptation
  • - Management of care
  • - Reduction of Risk Potential
  • - Safety and Infection Control
  • - Pharmacological and Parenteral Therapies
  • - Basic Care and Comfort
  • - Psychosocial Integrity
  • - Health Promotion and Maintenance
Is it worth it?
Five dollars a month may sound like a lot. But let’s say you don’t join Premium, you don’t learn from your incorrect answers, and you end up failing the NCLEX. Now you’ll have to spend another two months preparing for the exam again. You could have spent those two months at a new nursing job (assuming you passed your NCLEX). What’s more, based on average starting salaries, that’s over $8,000 in income you would have earned if you’d passed your exam. On the other hand, you could upgrade to Premium right now, pay just $20 a month, and use our daily challenges/answers to pass your NCLEX the first time. Worth it, right?
When are winners determined for the monthly prize?
On the last day of each month, we’ll tally up everyone’s points at 12:59PM UTC. The following day, we’ll announce the winner (good luck!).
What happens if there is a tie at the end of the month on the leaderboard?
Tied for first place? No worries. We’ll go ahead and award every student with the same first place score.
What is the monetary value of the monthly reward?
We work hard to find prizes that are valuable and helpful to nursing students. The total dollar amount varies from month to month, but each reward is generally worth around $100.
How do I unsubscribe?
If you'd like to unsubscribe, hopefully it's because you've passed your NCLEX and no longer need to practice for the exam; congrats! Just click on the “Cancel Subscription” button in the app and you’re all set.
